Hi All,

I'm not even sure if this is an issue, but my plant has strangely shaped leaves. They tend to curve to one side rather than be semetrical, and at the center where the fan leaf's spokes join, it's crowded out and they're crinkled. I know I'm not describing it well, so here's a picture.

Other than this, the plant is healthy and I haven't had any other issues.

I did discover my pH was way out earlier on. I bought myself a pH pen and have since rectified that problem. This could be a hangover from the pH being out, but new growth also shows the same trait.

Thoughts? Is it a problem?

Here's a full plant picture. Note, I'm only talking about the plant on the left. the right hand side plant doesn't show the same issue and is a different strain.

I see what look like pipe cleaners attached to the sides of the pot... have you been tying the plant down? If so that will account for the crowding... apart from that... it doesn't look that strange to me, possibly needs a pot up (drooping leaves), but I think the crinkling you are worried about is just a strain trait.

Hi Louise,

Yes, I tied her down 2 or 3 days ago. I have limited height in my grow room, so this is my way of maximising yield while reducing risk of maxing out head space. I'm glad to hear you think it's a strain trait, and that you think she could do with a larger pot. I've been debating whether to keep her in the same pot all the way through or not. I guess that answers my question.

Hey Razz,

Feeding is going great. Because of the different stages of the two plants, I'm finding mixing up nutes a pain in the arse. That and trying to get a handle on pH drift and I'm spending more time than I should. But that should sort itself out next week when they're both on the same strength feeds and I learn how to make my workflow more efficient.

Thanks for all your advice so far.

Slowed it maybe, but once it has more room the roots will continue to grow.

Thanks Lou,

Out of interest, do you think they need re-potting again? I've noticed the leaves on the larger one drooping again, and both have roots showing at the bottom.

Also, I'm considering putting them on 12/12 this weekend. Is it too soon? Do I have sufficient room to let them go a bit more? The larger of the two plants is on day 35 of veg, and the smaller one on day 27.
