What could this burn be

Recommended Posts

By now they should have their roots in the water and be big enough to be getting more than 540..

In my last DWC run, the girls were getting 12-1300ppm by week 3-4 and had quite the growth, it is all genetics and they're all different but almost any strain would have quite the appetite by week 4.

What nutrients are you using and at what rates?

Burn and deficiency can be identical and at this far into growth I can't fathom how she was burnt with 540ppm :/

I have put 20ml of each and use 60ml of grow in 80 lt

Use hydrochloric acid for PH control

I have a new air pump as there was not much air in the pots http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/25/d016ffeaa3b49422cd867f4a230e36e0.jpg

I think it's over dosed as I cleaned it all out and started the res again with ph water for 24 hr

There is some green starting to happen on top now instead of yellow

Woah, ok when you use the HCI(acid) is that straight from the bottle or are you diluting it first then using the diluted mix for ph down?

The latter is the way to go[emoji106]

(I do not recommend HCI as a ph solution though, just giving advice on your intended route)

I suggest giving them the recommended dose for their age(may have to google a DM feeding chart) of Grow only and see how they go, I haven't used DM nutes except for add.27(good stuff[emoji106]) but I never had an issue with it.

I have a similar air pump and it's awesome! Good choice[emoji16]

The green is a good sign indeed

That may be the problem, undiluted HCI is very strong and contains Chloride(chlorine and plants are bad juju) ontop of that, too strong an acid dose(ie not diluted enough) can precipitate nutrient salts out of the water leading to nutrient lock-out(possibly the case here)

H3PO4(phosphoric acid) is the best to use as it has very little to no ill effects on plants and is what's used in hydroponic PH solutions.

If you can get it undiluted(%85+) it would be cheaper in the long run as you can make many batches with it.(never use any acid undiluted or diluted less than 1:2)

Dilute at a 1:6-1:8 acid to RO/Distilled water, keep it stored in a cool place out of direct light in a black bottle if you have one.

1L will last some time.

Remember to add you nutrients to your res first as they will bring the PH down some, then wait a few minutes before you test and PH down.

Most nutes will bring your PH down by 1 or so, my tap water is 7.5-8 and after adding nutes my res is 6.2-6.5, then I use about 1ml of PH down(premixed hydroponic stuff, it's about 15% H3PO4) to get to 5.6-5.8

All good mate, hope the girls bounce back nicely[emoji106]
