Sick Plant Recovery........ Hopefully

Recommended Posts

hey Dreddy, glad to see its still goin, I agree that leavin it alone is the best bet. some growers think tipping and pruning is helpful, some think otherwise. on several occasions I have tipped/pruned wen I have had almost identical plants, every time the tipped plants had smaller buds and less dry weight than the un-tipped, this was outside grow, I have never tried lights, maybe next winter.

happy days.

Hi,

I have had a busy week so this post is a bit late I am affraid.

Not much to report from me as all I did was water it twice in the past week with rainwater and a bit of my liquid fertiliser.  Other than that I have left it alone.

The plant however, is coming along very nicely.  The new growth is nice and green and growing at a good rate, hopefully she will be ready to flower soon.

Thats burn, exactly same as what I just did to mine with pyrethrum spray.

Louise is on the money.

Nibs.

did yours recover from the pyrethrum burn?

I used pyrethrum on an auto earlier this morning and noticed it was drooping a few hours later so sprayed with water to remove and now she doesn't look good, a few burns and drooping/wilted. I'm hoping she will recover but having my doubts.

So sad cost she is only 2.5 weeks old and my first grow!

Better to use those things at dusk. Less chance of hurting the plant with the sun going down. Even plain water will burn leaves if used when the sun is getting to it's highest point and then well into the arvo.

Hi Guys

Been working a lot and time got away from me.  It's 2 weeks since my last post.

Since then I have decided to put the plant into flowering stage.  I have a small tool shed I move it to every night and it spends just over 12 hours in darkness.

Looks to be going OK.  It is bushing up nicely and the larger, older leaves are turning yellow.  I have read that this is because the plant is striping them of nutrients as they are no longer needed.  Clever little buggers aint they.

I am watering twice a week after checking to see that the soil has dried out enough.  I just stick my finger into the soil, if it's dry, I water it.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't use pyrethrum on the leaves, I treated the roots directly with Bio Oil.  We think the burn was caused be the plant being too close to a steel garage wall, which heated up through the day.

But the burnt leaves did heal up nicely, still had the holes of course but the leaves came green again until they were no longer needed and the plant shed them.

I see a few leaves yellowing and die. Is this because outdoor growing? Anyway I guess no reason for worry.
