Can someone identify this deficiency please ;)

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

we have a clone of Pineapple Chunk that is about 2 weeks into growth after rooting in rockwool.

it has been put into Coco, light feeding with H&G Cocos A+B and Roots Excelurator.

Seems to be growing ok, but just want to know which deficiency we have on the leaves here..... Its coming up in the new growth aswell.

I'd go with insect damage or a disease process... doesn't look like any nutrient deficiency I have ever seen.

cool thanks Louise, dont think it is insects, the clone is with another 4 clones that do not show the same thing. i have inspected the leaves and stem very close and cannot see any insects on the outside.... could there be something having a go at the roots?

cheers

oh and btw, they are only under a 55w T5 ... if that matters at all... definatly not heat damage or anything along those lines ;)

Looks like some form of Necrosis, Mosaic maybe?

Had something similar to this a couple of years ago. Something was effecting the nutrient uptake in only one plant.

At the time suspected it was a root problem and dosed with "Eradicator" (available at grow shop)

After the dose noticed hundreds of minute gnat like bodies floating in the DTW tray.

Continued light feeding with H&G Cocos A+B and Roots Excelurator.

Plant recovered brilliantly,  Also used "Go-Green" which has a nitrogen booster in it.

Hope this helps Quob.....
