sacrificial basil

Does anyone else do this?

I'm also a bit of a vege grower and have noticed that my basil plants are always getting chewed to bits by grasshoppers. The last couple of years I've grown a few basil bushes around my plants and have noticed that it does seem to keep the grasshoppers off them.

(sacrificial basil - It'd make a great name for a band as well)

Awesome itchy, just what I could do with! thanks for the link

No worries Cap

you can get right into it with year round cover cropping , when they flower you chop & leave where they fall , mulch

Green Manure Mix https://www.edenseeds.com.au/?name=Category-Detail-Seeds&category=Green-Manure-Mix

cover cropping / mulching can be used indoors as well
