What soil do you use

I just wrote a big letter apologizing for my comment and explaining why i got the shits then i accidentally deleted the whole thing but ill do a shorter version in a nut shell... ive been using this and other forums for a few days now and seem to have to explain questions a few times before its understood. then get stupid responses from people that im guessing have the same experience as the people that sit in front of the tv telling the Olympic swimmer what they have to do ...now i have gotten some good people like cap'n yng and a few others that actually seem to know what they are doing and i am grateful ..... apologies. ...... ive decided not to use this forum anymore because i feel now i wont be getting the right advice because i got annoyed at someone for asking me how do i "plant to grow " i was asking what others use not me i know what i use and ive found out it is wrong so now that ive explained myself dont think ill be using this site again and if i do i definitely wont be asking any questions Edited September 14, 2015 by emeraldarcher

Don't give up asking questions Emeraldarcher, there is a wealth of knowledge on these board.

 

The internet and forums are difficult things to communicate on some times, without hearing my tone and my facial expression is hard to know if I'm happy or pissed off and I don't do smiley faces to much.

 

I'm guessing you know this. I often have to change what I write because it could be taken the wrong way. I have to write different to how I would talk a fair bit, to be sure my meaning is understood.

 

Saying that, nobody likes a smartass. Be polite and people will be polite back.

 

 

I grow outdoor and use a commercial certified organic soil mix ( not bags of pottingmix) further amended with lots of worm casting, dynamic lifter and  a little composted cow manure.

A simple organic mix is Searles 5 in 1 from Masters, coco and coarse perlite in equal quantities, so 1/3 of each.

If nutes in the soil is what your worried about try giving the mix a good flush before planting. But a good 1:5 mix of organic soil from bunnings and perlite works very well.

Damn I did miss that spelling mistake!!

 

To answer your question I use coco as my potting medium. As I grow indoors, and I like to control the nutrients going in. 

 

I was assuming you were trying to get opinions on what medium to use, my mistake you simply want to know what everyone else uses. 

 

Now i could get pissy about all these people like you "im guessing have the same experience as the people that sit in front of the tv telling the Olympic swimmer what they have to do" (just quoting you) referring to potting mixes as soil, because anybody who has a grain of horticultural knowledge and has been in the business would know that is just plain and simply false, but i guess your not coming back it won't matter, it's a real shame.

One of the reasons I don't spend much time in here any more! Always new smart arse people dropping in for a post or two, ask a question that most of us long termers here would have started with an answer similar to Franks and a possible good thread turned to shit. Aren't stoners supposed to be happy? Doesn't cannaversity have something on mediums or there is a big thread on it somewhere?
