They come for the moisture mates had them in nft system as well as coco and I've had them in hydro ton / clay balls as well

They live off dead/dying decomposing material. If you try to attain the right pot size/medium/watering schedule in which the top 10 cm or so can dry out with the plants still having access to water, you wont have any gnats.

Talking beneficial bacteria I also use Azos from extreme gardning it's Azospirllum brasilense I use it when I pot up. Makes roots go crazy quick.

hey I used the free samples at hydro shop then was speaking to him saying the were growing great so he offered me a lil bottle of it I think 50grams for 35$ I'm loving this stuff makes roots crazy

I used the sample that came attached to a xtreme gardening flyer , 2 single gram baggies 1 with azos & 1 with mykos

you might have got there clone mix pre-mixed azos & water http://www.xtreme-gardening.com.au/ 

looks like they don't sell azos in a packet anymore like mykos in Oz or maybe just out of stock

hey itchy that is the exact sample I got from the hydro shop I got Azos in a small plastic jar full of powder. Amazing products if you ask me
