2tonne of lab grade carbon - humidity control?

Recommended Posts

I was thinking more biological spaying like Insect Frass (which we cant get here in Oz)

which would be great for fighting PM not sure about botrytis though ,

but what your looking for is beneficials to out compete the bad guys

i don't have an answer but look in to wine making grape growing they are right into

biological controls for there grapes & have to deal a bit with botrytis

just found this:  mycelia and the photosynthetic bacterias outcompete the botrytis ,

But can't find the rest of the statement so take it with a grain of salt but might give you an idea for some searching

I've never heard of insect frass. sounds interesting. what is it made of..? Picturing billions upon billions of insects shitting in one place lol...!

I read up on Bacterial Fungicides. Interesting on the direction it is headed. these chemical giants would sell us anything. Use their pull to push forward some of these new products. I'm all for moving forward just I don't trust them(pharma)

I remember BT's when they were released for diamond back moth. problem was solved by bacteria.

organic teas with beneficial micro organisms - I like.

Can you link me an example of insect Frass itchybromusic?

split will overdo it - would be nice though.

with all lights on(10x600w) its pushing to 30C. It's when the lights aren't on that will be the problem. 4 weeks veg pushing 70% humidity with lights off. Eventually at those levels mould will kick in. so I am throwing some ideas and maybe someone has had similar experiences. as I mentioned the carbon is already here just wasting space so I figured I'd give a try. do you know how much power a split would use - might be borderline already.

if your running 600w x10 lights, I wouldn't worry about the running cost of the split system lol

Have a look into IPM , integrated pest management

also look into SAR , systemic acquired resistance

Itchybromusic your a gun mate - thanks heaps. I'd never contemplated IPM; and SAR well that's another level all together. I'm always looking to learn. Appreciate it champ!

So are you trying to run a closed system ? If not just run heaps of fans. Air movement is the key.

Totally sealed hermananian! Yeah really need more movement especially intake! The reason being is its not 1 for 1 I have a massive 10" ISO MAX out compared to inlets. Should be sorted by the next couple of days. Itchybromusic has opened up some more doors for me now to so going to be busy searching for some good bugs!

it certainly is itchybromusic.

I'll be seeing my chem guy next couple of days so I'll throw him some question with regards to organic bacterial fungicides, SAR and IPM. It all sounds high tech but it's not really aye...these chem guys are unreal! They'll sell you anything and then when you ask them something the first thing they do is look at the back of the label.

We should start a thread on this discussion Itchybromusic.
