Three weeks in and not enough growth.. Advice please

Recommended Posts

All good Billygoat. I mean, it wasn't the smartest idea. Even though they've started growing well, for my next batch I'll use more.. ehh, traditional methods haha. I think a few factors were at play with the poor growth. Firstly and foremostly, the rich, unorthodox soil mix probably wasn't ideal for the seedling stages (which I didn't suspect was a problem before coming here so thanks everyone). Secondly, the light was far too high up. Thirdly, I slightly adjusted the position of the fans to blow more directly on the plants while tightening the ventilation to hold more heat - so far it doesn't seem to be stressing them out. And finally, I gave them their first blast of nitrogen as the bottom leaves showed a bit of yellowing - a very quick fix.

Naycha, yeah perhaps I got carried away with 'inches', perhaps 'cms' per day.

Cheers guys.

From today. Looks a little droopier than usual because they just woke up, and I gave them their first water after letting the top soil dry out for a few days to exterminate those little maggot bastards.

Pretty open to any more ideas if someone throws them my way.

Hey legends, Billygoat, anyone. Check out where they're at now. Had the 12/12 light on 'em for about a week now. Only have a foot left of ceiling to move the lightup and they just don't stop growing. Would anyone recomend tying them down? Also, I think I gave them a slight bit of nitro toxicity from liberally applying Yates aquasol (close up image has top leaves curling down at the tips, and wilting elsewhere).

When do you think I should switch to 'flowering' nutes? (PK). Check the pics, and they're high-res so beware if on mobile phone with data limits.
