Hey ferengi ,

am curious as to how you reversed the mould?

Iv`e read that putting a couple of tins of i think it was sulphur in containers will prevent any mould problems but cant remember if this was only for ornamentals or not .(the book is in my GR and the light is off till 6pm)

Anyone heard of this?

Sulphur can be sprayed on plants with leaf moulds, but I wouldn't recommend it for spraying for bud rot.

Best way to cure it is not get it in first place, and that's acheived with lots of ventilation and air movement. You can also help plants which have been struck by removing the affected parts, and adjusting the conditions with more venting or air movement. Some other fungicides, such as fongarid and others, can be used, but I wouldn't recommend it, firstly as it's applied as a spray, and secondly because of the potential health issues with using a systemic anything in a plant you want to smoke.

I sprayed with buds with milk,

You use 1 part milk to 9 parts water. Cows milk is better, but skim is next best as its less fat.

less fat means less smell, as the milk can smel yuck whilst it kills the mould.

Neem will stop it spreading any further and is safe.

Organic Recipe for Mildew

1 tbspn. Baking Soda

1 tbspn. Olive Oil

1 tbspn. Liquid Coconut oil soap (such as Dr. Bonners Pure Castille Soap)

1 gallon water

Always be careful with any home remedy, use at our own risk. But it worked for me.

You should be able to resize that pic down to about 100k...

But yeah, if you've got an excessive moisture problem, you need to review ventilation, and likely install a much stronger fan. :P

That and an oscilating 20cm pedestal/desk fan should be all you need to keep the bastards of mould away.

The milk advice is a good one, I think I read somewhere that skim milk didn't cut it, but hey, it's not really a registered pest/fungicide so I suppose you can experiment without much fear.

I would still not advise spraying buds with anything to rid them of mould myself, I'd remove all the damaged parts, and change factor of the environment which is causing the problem. ;) Which I've had to do before. :)

i have learnt the hard way , i have 600 W HPS in 1m x1m x 2m,

get the most expensive fan you can not afford.:0

i bought a 150 cm inline fan, was told it would be ok for mt 20 litre homemade scrubber/light/ventilation ,but it didnt work , i actually cooked my buds , i was away 7 days on holidays

before that i had 250 mm fart fan on the roof ,that was another mistake , tried to get 4 weeks out of the $14.95 GAF brand fan from Bunnings , 1st one lasted 7 days , 2nd one lasted 6 days.

i should have got the 400 watt. but im a greedy bastard .

my problems heat , yours seems to be air ...

as we are both learning all the time ........ im sure the members here will help you out

/me YELLS -------------> 100$ is not enough for good air

yah i did choose the cheap way pout when buying a fan, so its a good guess to say thats my problem lol

its hard to pay so much for a fan when one is right next to it at the shops for under $20 that seems to be the same.

I've got 4 months out of it without a fail but yah ventilation is a major part of growing so it looks like im going to have to spend some dosh.

ill probly just leave it for the next growm, moving into a house shortly so i'll have to start fresh then, i'll leave this grow going and just learn from it lol

cheers for all the help, i apreciate it greatfully.
