Double Potting

Recommended Posts

Afternoon everyone.

As a new member to this forum I have been flicking through heaps of topics and threads and reading up on your successes and failures in growing and one thing I came across was planting 2 or more seeds to a pot.

For the record, I have done this before but not in a pot. I used a plastic storage box (50 litre IIRC). drilled holes in the bottom, filled it full of soil and placed 5 seeds in there. 1 in the middle and 4 in each corner (Not right in the corners but you know what I mean).

.  .

 .

.  .

All sprouted and grew and everything was fine as they were small plant but I am curious if anyone else has done this before and what their results were like.

Also, whether you have done it or not, what are you opinions?

I have no issues with it but I wouldnt use it as a method for big growing plants or more than 1 seed per 10 litres (50L = 5 seeds).

Yea, I can see this theory playing its part cos not all plants 'drink' the same ay.

I may give it a go again next time around and see what the results are over here.

I first discussed this at a young age with mates while on the smoke and thats what led us to try it.

We figured that if you could plant outside and have 2 or more plants close to each other or hidden behind other plants for discresion andget results then why not try it indoors by planting in a large tub.
