What is a reasonable priced and resonable Centrifugal Exhaust?

Recommended Posts

hey everyone,

i want some options on exhaust fans please..

my grow space is 700x500x1800

i have a growlush loud as fuck 6" inline fan but its not cutting it with the heat from my 250w HPS with cool tube.

can someone suggest a resonable priced brand centi fan for my grow room size and where to buy from?.. im not rich, but need something that is sorta good and quiet.

even a setup with a silencer or something?

I used a growlush centri fan for a bit , a speed controller will help with noise

but i'm surprised it's not cutting it , i used it on a space prob 4x the size of your space

do you have the fan sucking or blowing & do you have it on the end of your cool tube

also have a good look at your fan , they are not well made , move that black cover they

put on to see wrongly drilled holes & air movement around the screwed join in the center

I took mine back to the hydro store & they changed it out for the 6" plastic can fan at no charge

growlush centri's seem to work ok but best get a tube of silicon , pull apart & seal

i have it mounted at the top of the cabinet sucking air out... maybe my passive intake isnt big enough ...

the heat seems to be hanging around the canopy alot. i have a 250w with cooltube and reflector....

i also have a cheap desk fan that fit in the end of my cool tube to push air out of that through ducting t the top aswell ( its not very powerful)

either passive intake not big enough or maybe i need to push the air thrugh the cool tube then out the top...?

frustrating

ambient temp of the room is around 26 on ave.. and yes and no with the venting...

the cabinet is next to a window, on cold tiles. the cabinet has holes in the bottom of it for passive intake, and because its up against the window (which is open) is should be getting enough fresh air in.  then the exhast goes out the same window but at the top of it.....

i might rethink this tomorrow and sit down now and watch a movie with a joint and think of what im doing wrong...

if the intake is passive, should it be larger than the exhaust...

and FYI i dont have a Centrifugal Fan, its a 6" Growlush INLINE fan.

yea thats the one, i know im stupid for buying it... first time grower just trying to get away with it cheap... ill admit it!

you think it will help if i use it to push the air across the tube and out?

have a look in my gallery and you will see the cabinet and how its progressed...

i have managed to get it from 40+ degrees down to low 30's, but when i close it all up she sits at about 36 degrees and plants are stressing a little so i wanna sort the probem and learn what im doing wrong

or i have about $150 to spare right now.... any suggestions on what i could buy online? maybe if im lucky with a carbon filter to suit...

im thinking i dont need to sped the money on 150mm stuff because the space is so small....??? but then ill have to get reducers for the ducting because the cool tube is 150mm

the cheapest 6" centri & filter will most likely be growlush

that's prob about $200 & you will need both

the centri will be much louder than that inline

but it dose sound like you need more than the inline you have

attach the new centri direct to the cooltube & duct out to the filter

& use the inline you have to suck in fresh air from the window

or if you can fit the filter , cooltube then fan inside your space

& continue to run that out the window
