Small Outdoor plants showing pre flowers. Female or Male?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

went for a walk this morning and remembered i planted these about 2 months ago. ive totally forgotten about about them hence the reason they are in small pots still. made me laugh, little guys are trying to power on lol

the medium in the pots was canna terra, so i guess they loved what came from that along with the little rain we've had.

Whats my best option from here to maximise my yeild? I know tey wont produce much, but what should i do to make the most of them?

And do the pre flowers look Female?

Should i put into the ground and start fertilizing?

how long from now would they be ready to harvest? or will the plant not survive a full bloom?

And do the pre flowers look Female?

yes it is a female

Should i put into the ground and start fertilizing?

yes - this will allow the plant to grow to its almost-full potential

how long from now would they be ready to harvest? or will the plant not survive a full bloom?

10-14 weeks possibly longer

I've flowered an 8' plant, they do fine...

luck!

cool :) thanks guys... will get them in the ground in a couple days.

you reckon hit them with some seasol and power feed? just half strength?

and when they get bigger, could i take cuttings? or not when its flowering?

ORRRR.... should i put at least one of them under 18hr 80w CFL and put it back to vege stage and keep as a mother since i have determined the sex?

be nice to get some female cuttings. They were just bag seed but was from a nice smoke that only produced a few seeds out of a few ounces. I have 6 of these that are the same size and all have pre flowers, they all look identical almost :D

Their NPK is different

Green bottle 12 - 1.4 - 7

Red bottle 14 - 1.4 - 9

(as per bunnings website)

as a reference point Canna Terra NPK is  3-1-4 (I'm not 100% on that as I got it off the net)

edit: with luck someone who can help out on nutrients will be by here soon... my brain ain't working too well
