Pain sufferers hooked on drugs

Recommended Posts

The only "problem" with cannabis is the "problem" that vested interests have Created.  Dumb-arses like this fool perpetuate it.  They know where their bread is buttered.  What is the "problem" re cannabis...please DEFINE the PROBLEM???  Be truthful.  Be factual.  Be genuinely non-biased (no compromised stance)  financial or otherwise.  Is There  no modern science which is all these? No, not that I have found.   They eventually serve their god which is money and profit, they LOVE it, they kill for it. Why wouldn't they lie for it?

This is why I don't watch the news...hyped half-truths with wanna-be heroes vomiting whatever hogwash will get them noticed, advanced or financially rewarded the fecken whores.  The more money is loved the less truth is loved.

I couldn't agree more Faith, it's all about the mighty sacred dollar and that is sad.

Some dr's are very quick in pulling out their prescription pads for any ailment. "here, take a pill. That'll fix it" We have all become comfortable with the 'take a pill" mentality. When that pill doesn't work or loses its effectiveness, the dr increases the dosage. Then labels the individual an addict when the increased dosage needs further increase. Pain is the body's way of signalling a problem. Treating the pain by numbing or masking it does not identify nor treat the cause. When the body becomes normalised to the opiate, the only way to obtain the required relief is to increase the dose of the masking agent, but still this does not treat the cause but only masks the body's warning system. It is much easier/quicker for the dr to write a script than to investigate and establish an alternative to pain meds. Again this comes down to the mighty dollar, if a dr takes an hour to see one patient with complex needs, in that same time he can see 4 patients, write a script for each, make 4 times the money and support the big pharmas. That's a win/win situation for both the dr and the pharmas. Why take the time to investigate?

Opiate addiction is real but often it is the dr's who perpetuate the addiction by legally supplying the drugs. It is a vicious circle of supply and demand. Pain needs to be investigated and managed not masked imo
