Ph problem

Recommended Posts

dump the reservoir and start again mate, new tap water would be closer to the range you want. add your nutrients and test ph after half an hour or so, then add ph down if need be.

as for something to bring down the high ph, people with pools use muriatic acid (concrete cleaner) to bring pool ph down maybe in miniscule amounts you could make it work.

ph down is what they call dry acid  or chemical name, sodium bisulphate. muriatic acid is more concentrated but less expensive too, but you would only need a drop or so to do the job in 20 lts. maybe not even a drop.if ya know what I mean.

I have a new wp-81 meter it reads conductivity . TDS temp and ph I worked out that you only put one pro in at a time. As it has a two probes one for ph and one for the rest, I got a higher reading with both been in there, I did tip out the mix and tested tap water and got 7.2 around the same as the ph strips I have thanks everyone for the info
