CFL OR Fluoresecent?

Recommended Posts

I use one of these,

I got it for taking pics but turns out it good for starting seeds and veging till ready for the HID.

And they screw into a standard E27 light socket...

We use almost the same bulb, yeah CFL is the same with Fluorescent right? Got mine online in ebay with E27 fittings too. its energy saver.

I know this is abit of a thread necro but I thought this was the best place to ask.

I've been thinking about a a seedling/clone box and I'm wondering if two of these set ups would be any good? Pretty sure the bulbs look the same as what was posted earlier but in brain farting as too whom posted it.

They come with 2 bulbs veg and flower so I was thinking for shits and giggles that it couldn't hurt to have both bulbs

Thanks for any advice again everyone

If you have a desire for shits and giggles, by all means, buy GrowLush. If you want a good seedling/clone/early veg box light, grab an 80W Philips eg http://hydro4u.com.au/product/globe-philips-80w-ecotone/

A little more pricey, but chews less juice for better results.

Ah Rightio. Cheers Louise. I knew there was one shitty brand but couldn't remember their name. Thanks for that

Yep go the 80watt phillips cfl .I use then an just use the sea hawk ali reflectors an they work well.

Regards,Dingo-2008.

Thanks for that dingo

Those 80w though, they were perfect for the kind of growing I'm doing during the summer, whetehr to extend daylight hrs or get em strong before they take on the wind and spray....plus they weren't these ginormous small cooltube size things lol  It was cool with the 400/250 Lumatek and I could just veg on 250 for awhile but for cost and output I think the Philips bulbs are the best (I've tried a 130W and it wasn't a patch on the philips, I hope they are not discont.)  they shine IMo.
