More than 300 cannabis plants worth $1.2 million have been found growing at a house in Sydney.

The discovery was made when officers searched the house at Yagoona about 10.30am yesterday after a tip-off, police said today.

Inside the unoccupied house were 325 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment.

The cannabis has an estimated potential street value of $1.2 million, police said.

I think they assume every plant has the potential to reach 1 lb, so they just say 300 plants = 300 pounds.

Not sure how much they figure a pound costs!! Spose they probably do do the 1 gram = $20-25, depending on where you are.

Well I just did the math & 300 lb is roughly 135kg, so at $25/gram, that comes to almost $3.4 million.( I am assuming about $5000 / lb)

So if they are assuming that a plant = 1 lb, then the going rate for a pound shoud be...........................$4000 lb.

I dont know if my theory is correct on the 1 plant=1 lb, but I have read it a few places & this seems to be the politicians misguided view as well.

Hope this helped a little

I thought that the NSW police valued 1 plant at $2000

But maybe this was referring to outdoors

so they are saying that indoor plants are worth more?

Outdoor plants yield more so you would think they would be more valuable!

Are they taking the quality into consideration.

If so how do they judge quality?

Do they have any cannasuers amongst the boys in blue?

Of course the cops are conniseurs ( sp??)

Didnt anyone hear about the cop in Airlie Beach (FNQ) being done for smoking a j on the esplanade early in the morn ( this is about 2-3 years ago )

Anyway, he dobbed in all his mates ( all cops ), so Airlie Beach was a little short staffed for a while.

Me thinks the local growers took advantage of it!!!

Though I must say it is a little bit of a double standard, kinda like leaving the corporate high flyers alone in their skyscrapers, while they move k's of coke, but busting the westie kid with a j

Oh well, cant have power without corruption! lol
