DWC problems

try not to remove leaf babe, Its the energy source for the plant.

the light can penetrate the leaves some also.

you think your doing the right thing by opening up the budsites to the light, but it actually harms the plant as you have made its job harder by asking the new bud sites to produce bigger buds, but then you have taken away the energy that the plant needs to do this.

If its possible your better off pushing the leaves sideways or moving them somehow to open up the bud sites.

As long as you didn't totally strip the plant it will be ok.

It would have been better to leave it on but that can't be helped now. Don't stress about it too much, it will keep growing even if there is nothing but bud, it just wont do as well. The important thing to remember now is you are still getting a good amount of greens for fairly cheap.

Hello everyone, I am a friend of Kel, I am looking after her plants for two weeks while she is away.

She has no internet connection, so asked me to tell what has happened.

I was checking the plants and adding some water to fill the tub, i do it everyday, but today the plants were all leaning to one side, as the buds are too big and too heavy so stand up straight. So i decided to move the black tub around and straighten up the plants, as the net pots were half hanging out of the tub (cause of the buds), while i was moving the tub around the air stone tube came out and started spraying water everyhere, i panicked and took the other tube out and water started flowing out more and more, i hanged all the cords up over the cabinet and put the ballast on a chair, the water by this time was comming out of the cabinet. It is about 3-5cm high water around the base of the cabinet and all the cords/ballast are up and away from the water. I tied green twine around the plants and are 75% up straight, but more like a christmas tree. The lights have just switched off (6pm), now kel has asked me to ask you all these questions;

They are 44 days into flower, shoud i cut my losses and harvest now?

Should i keep growing?

Thanks everyone, hopefully someone can answer so i can tell Kel ASAP!!

No I would contiunue with what she has been doing. the plant is very tough and you would be hard pressed to accidentially kill it like that.

Unless the start to die then maybe do it but I would just hang in there.

at this stage the plant hasnt filled up the false seedpods with the THC yet.

I assume you have fixed the system up so that it now doesnt leak??

Is the water level supposed to be level with the holes? If it is plug them and fill the level up. It should be just under the orchid pot so the roots are still in the water.

Also is the airstone back in? The roots need that oxygen.

Other than that, like for Ferengi420 said, unless the plants start to die off, stick it out untill the end, it should be fairly soon.

Disconect the power in the dark period and mop up that water, no good having it just lying there, it could leak out of the cabinet and ruin the carpet or floor, or worse a lead could fall and make the whole cabinet live.
