DWC problems

hey guys,

by letting go a hole bottle of co2 into a room (f size, $35 from boc) any pests that need oxygen to breath and live will die, within a hour. - goto reapply another bottle in 14 days to get eggs - its hitler style but it works.

If you do have mould it will be in the centre of your large colas - pull a few back and have a look - mold turns the centre of your biggest buds to mush and it grows very quickly - harvest now if you have it - dont worry about flush.

i just checked my plants just 5 mins ago, and last time i saw them was friday afternoon, now in two days there is mould(?) everywhere all over the bigger buds, just up the top of the buds.

also there is what looks like pepper all over the leaves, say 50% of the leaves.

there is mushy looking white stuff on the bigger buds as well and the buds look really fluffy.

hairs are 65% red, but some are still white.

i have to fix this plant ASAP!

ok guys, i am really scared right now, so i am going to go down to my local safeway/woolworths and get some surgical cloves, sharp blade/scissors and a pest control ( for mites).

harvest today, and hang the bigger buds up in my other cabinet (which is clean) and put the lower buds on fly screen frame i made up. have a fan down the bottom on low level as well as a fan on lower level midway up the cabinet and an exhaust fan. then plant the bomb or something and get rid of these bastards so they don't ruin my buds in yeild or srength.

the fans will not be blowing directly on the buds but below and above them.

wish me good luck guys, totally spewing about this, but next time i will be prepapred, as always i learn from my mistakes.

be back on tonight to let you know how i went!

Don't use poison on them, you will be smoking poison.

Try the garlic or CO2, there is a method of curing called water curing that can get rid of the mites but i havn't tried it yet so i can't realy recomend it. Although, if faced with losing the lot i would try it.

Try the crused garlic spray, the mites don't like it and might get rid of them but you will have to get your buds dry to stop the mould.

Whatever you do, don't poison your buds as you will not be able to smoke them.

I have just finished harvesting the buds. I have the bigger buds seperate from the smaller ones. all on fly screens in layers.

I have two fans on low level down the bottom on the cabinet, not blowing on the buds, but just below.

I also have the exhaust fan on every few hours for an hour and off again.

I removed all the mould/mites from the buds and going to check them in 24hrs to see how they are.

i didn't buy anything today as far as sprays go, but just playing it by ear and seeing tomorrow and see what i do next.

there are heaps and heaps of buds, hopefully a pound, maybe more, time will only tell.

PICKLE: i read about the water curing before and though it was rubbish as many other Oz Stoners thought the same, but i am now considering it, if the mould/mite problem is worse this time tomorrow.

Hope all is good, i need a decent yeild, done so much work this time around!!

I have had a think about it too and it's probably not the best idea for your situation.

Considering you have mould it would probably cause more mould in the drying process. I was thinking of it for the mites and only suggested it as it is far and away preferable to poison.

Upon further consideration the CO2 might be the way to go. It will get rid of the mites and wont keep the buds wet and susceptable to more mould.

Just remember it is what animals breath out and is a waste product of our bodies. It's not poisonous but you can't breath it and it will kill you if you breath it. So if you decide to use it, watch the animals and kids and yourself. Treat it like water, it is heavier than air and will pool in places like buckets, the bottom of a cabinet and so on. If you let a bottle go ii will pool on the floor in the room and leak out from under the door, to get rid of it make sure their is a "water course" for it to follow out of your house and good ventilation.

Since you have already harvested the best idea would be to put your buds in a big container with a lid (like one of those storage boxes from bunnings) and fill it with CO2, the mites on the buds will suffocate, you can leave the buds in there overnight or through the day with no ill effect to them and you can go straight back to drying and you will have handled the CO2 in a safe manner.

We've all got our fingers crossed for you.

They are in ounce bags in a big air-tight container and should be ready to smoke hopefully in a week's time. :whistling

I'd like to thank everyone who helped me along this adventure and i know how to grow and yeild great amounts all because of this site and the great, friendly people on this site! :thumbsup
