Indirect Sunlight Growing. Information on Strains Please?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Im venturing into the world of growing some medical grade buds for my insomnia and chronic pain.

Im trying auto flowers in a cabinet grow and are going .... ok....

Just curious, Im in the far north qld area, i know its late but the days are still 13 hrs at least and its warm still for another 3 months.

I want to vege under 80w CFL then introduce to outdoors.

Problem is i cant really get any DIRECT sunlight around my house that is stealthy enough for people not to notice.

At most i can get maybe 3 hours on my balcony OR can get the full day under a rainforest/bush canopy that sheds some light but nothing direct constantly.

Are there strains good for INDIRECT SUNLIGHT? or Balconys that get F all direct sunlight?

Thanks

indica's will (usually) have large leaves

I believe the large leaves are better for absorption of sunlight -so might be ok in part-shade

but you are very right that full sun is preferred

if it is not much of a hassle I'd do my darndest to move the plant into that 3hr/sunlite spot then into the dappled sun each day

or even 3hrs sun then into 80w

if you are finding that the outdoor sun is not enough you can grow under the 80w light, our member The Stoned Jester had a few years of successful 80w flowering

Luck

Growing under rainforrest canopy isn't optimal at all. You have the right idea vegging them indoors to begin with as theyl flower as soon as you put them outside into the 12/12 year round light schedule up there. I think the best solution if you have the energy or means is to guerilla them out to a patch were theres more light. 3 hours on the balcony is better than nothing and you could supliment the rest with your cfl but it all seems pretty compromised.

If you do find a patch with more light your plants will turn out awesome belive me.

Good luck whichever way you decide to go.
