Gone gel for odour control?

Recommended Posts

hi all,

I'm building a grow bucket with carbon scrubber. But because I live in an apartment building and Im paranoid as f*ck, I want to make 100% sure I get rid of smell by also putting some odour neutraliser next to the exhaust.

I found this stuff called "gone gel" today. Is this the same as ONA? If not, where does one get ONA in Australia?

Back when i 1st started growing i use something like that called odour zap, to me it just smelt like the smelly stuff they use in public toilets.

IMO you are better off buying a carbon filter.

With carbon filters dont get the cheaper ones you see on ebay, i have one and after just one grow it just dident cut it any more, the place would stink...

I bought a Grow Lush carbon filter when I first set up um, September year ago. So about 18 months it's been going and still working.
Admittedly it's only on the veg tent now but still, rustle the plants to release stink and nada.

I bought it just as a cheap option with the intent to replace it. I intend to repack in instead. Just a little off track, I even have the parts to put together a vibrating table to help it all settle and pack down nicely. :)

If you have a filter, you shouldn't need anything odour control substances, but if you ARE that paranoid, NilOdor works well. Apparently it's available at Coles. I bought mine online via the RSPCA website.
