The kit puts out a shitload of light, PISSES on my crappy fluoros.. cant wait to see the results. Also Ill be getting another one definately, probably a 600w this time, the 400w is a little dull But Im thinking of getting a large MH, as apparently the plants grow better under that spectrum and the buds may be better in the end.. I see so many HPS grows with stretchy plants.. Seems they are $170 with the SonT globe.. apparently the Sunmaster globes put out more lumens than anything though..

Thats where I got the light from, paid $100 for it delivered in good condition, looks like new still. Ill have to get another lamp after a harvest or so though.. thats for sure.

wouldnt worry to much about your plants gettin stretchy under just hps.

 

Ive had my bubbleberry`s under a 600hps from day 1.(3 weeks old today)

 

At the moment theyre about 7 inches tall and the nodes are no more than 1cm apart (tight as) and the bottom branches only about 1cm lower than the main tip.

 

Very very branchy and compact.

Cool, good to hear they are decent.. I have a 2.1m x 2m space Chev, im definately going to go near the 1kw mark with lighting in there I just started and I have four bagseed plants in there at the moment, two are looking male though, so Ill have to take them out today, after Im 100% sure. Eyes still fuzzy from the light Must've been the grows that i saw that only stretched, ive seen some nice hps grows, maybe just was the strain, good to hear your plants are coming along I want to have about 12 plants in there in 300mm pots sitting on 44L tubs with lids and the tub acting as a res for two plants sitting on top, pump in each tub and drip system, all that is all done, now just need FEMALES

MH does grow better plants in veg it makes then bushier and your right less stretched.

 

I only use HPS because a bit of stretching doesnt bother me, but Scott from that site sells RETRO bulbs.

Retro bulbs are a MH bulb that runs in your HPS ballast.

also those JBL Ballasts are the best ballasts that you can buy.

Ahh cool, the ballast makes no noise, just started humming for a bit when I had it on after a couple hours now,. but went back to quiet again.. it will do humming or not

You'll find the humming noise is just something vibrating in ya ballast give it a light tap usually stops it for me.... Same ballast.

 

Working fine for me so far.
