Seedlings!

Ive just started some seeds under 600w MH no problems, as long as light ins't too close they will lvoe the extra light.

 

Hmm...Is a 600w HPS alright for seedlings? Wondering if I need to buy a MH bulb or if I can get away with the HPS

yes 250 w hps will b cool, put your hand just above your plants a little and bring your light down till it just starts to get a bit hot on the back of your hand, make sure they get regular feeds and watch them grow,

 

they be huge in no time, once they a bit bigger crank the light up to 400 and 600, I generally use a cfl to start seed or for cloning, and try to get them under the hps or mh as soon as possible so that my veg time is as short as it can be(depending what I'm growing ) so I can get to flower sooner cause that's where the good stuff happens.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to go with 250w hps to start them off and crank it up as they grow!

 

Haven't got any nutes yet...scratching my head over what type of nutes to get. I see a lot of people talking about nitrosol and seasol, but other talking about the Flora Series and Canna Terra. A bit overwhelming for a total noob 

 

For a Coco:Perlite (50:50) medium in 11L pot, what do you guys recommend?

not doing my autos yet - but reg's - started them with 2 x 24w CFL's for 1.5 ~ 2 weeks - then in my tent under a 1000w MH dimmed to 400W @ 16" above the pots - just cranked it up to 600w a few days later. So far they are loving it!
