Humidity is killing me....

Recommended Posts

Hi

Humidity is not a problem but heat is , but by the same token if you raise the humidity the heat will fall some , chemists ( drug stores) hire room humidifiers for people with breathing problems you could try one of those .

In summer run your cycles at night whenever you can ,not only are temps cooler but the humidity is higher , and up your air exchange to the point of getting the temperature to where you want , the plants would prefer a lower night temp and a higher day temp , and running night cycles kinda upsets this a little in the hot days of summer , but the plants will do fine , not as good as optimum times but they go ok .

Also run lower CF nutrients as the plants are taking much more water to nutrient ratio in the dry heat and its easy to get nutrient burn so keep a close eye on what your tanks are doing .

The answer to your problems is airflow and having enough to get rid of the extra heat generated by the lights so that the temp in your room is real close to outside temp , get this balance and you wont have any problems , you just need to get rid of the "EXCESS" heat , plants will handle extremes so long as you have ample airflow .
