You can spray seltzer water on the plants twice a day. This is not recommended by some authorities, and receives great raves by people who seem to feel it has enhanced their crop. It stands to reason this would work for only a small unvented closet, but may be right for some situations. It could get expensive with a lot of plants to spray. Use seltzer, not club soda, since it contains less sodium that could clog the plants stomata. Wash your plants with straight water after 2 or 3 seltzer sprays. It's a lot of work, and you can't automate it, but maybe that's good! Remember, being with the plants is a beautiful experience, and brings you closer to your spiritual self and the earth. Seltzer is available at most grocery stores , A diluted solution of Miracle Grow can be sprayed on the plant at the same time. One factor of using seltzer water is it raises humidity levels. There are several other ways to raise the humidity around plants. Grouping plants keeps the moisture level higher than if air freely circulates around each plant. Another way is is to place plants on a shallow waterproof tray of pebbles partially covered with water. The pebbles provide lots of extra surface area for evaporation. (But don't let the plants sit in the water, or roots could rot.)

Many people mist plants to raise the humidity level, but it's not effective. The water evaporates too fast to benefit plants.

Cut and pasted from here.

edit- Oh also I havent ever measured mine? and my plants grow ok. Could just be lucky and its about right, or it doesnt really mean shit.

I know too much humidty in flower and your chances for mould increase. But thats normally sorted out with the ventilation.

If your growing in an air sealed room you could try a bucket with water in it then take a fishtank heater and pop it in there and run it so the water is constantly above 30 degrees Celcious that should take your humidity up a bit the reason the jug didn't work was because it is only temporary but if you have a heater in the water then water vapour will travel through the room continuesly not just for 10 mins

I have not had to mess with my humitity with my girls as it is pretty good in there but this is a trick I used with my fungi and it worked wonderfuly . they where in a smaller container ofcourse but I was also going for much higher humidity levels :D

Hey bro,

You should be more worried about heat problems then humidity, 100 degress is way to hot - add extra exhaust fan with a "air in" duct from outside air. This time of the year in oz you should not be having heat problems- try to reduce temp by 25 percent down to 75 max.

Why are you so worried about low humidity? If you have large kick arse cola you will praying for 30 RH.

The only time you should be concerned about low humidity is when you are taking new clones and dont have a humidy hood.

I belive he is from the states meaning it is summer at the moment think thats why he has high temps .. but jackfrost is right if you have your temps up that high then if your having stunted growth it is because of overheating not low humidity I would sugest looking into better ventilation :D

The temp is around 100 degrees

Yea, Like jack said thats way to high. another exhaust fan or a bigger one should help.

100 F would be say 37 deg C,

78-82 degrees F 25-27deg C,

is the best range to be in.According to a few posts that I have read from growers in the US.

In Australia mine have liked between 23-28 deg c.

And these same people said that they also run there humidity on 65%

( States Zone) What level is this temp(100) .Is it at the same level as the plants? I got a cheap inside outside thermo and it is right a bove the lights and IO get temps of 120 some times at that level but , inturn the temp at the plants upper level is only 80 to 85 degrees.Something to think .I have an idea, Put your lights on at night instead of day.It made alot of difference for me. ;) ,Dont worry about the Humidity. And dont put hot H2O in there if you r having temp problems :D I cant remember what size room you r working with? More info and sorry if you already posted it,Burnt out LMFAO You know there are alot of people here that dont like Americans, cause of all Bushs problems (and some of us r assholesLOL)and our words offend them.Peace out Bro.Do you have MIRC ?If so let me know by PM.

Ok I have the temp stablized right now its climbed back up to 83.1 this morning it started out at 75. The humidity started bout at 66% right now its boucing off 44-46% but for the most part has been in the mid 50s all day. Before I put my new plants in the box i let it run all night so I could check my min/max temps/humidity the min/max was 71.1/76 and humidity was 63-69% which I would consider perfect no sooner did I put my plants in it nose dived. My box is 3 feet wide 6 feet tall and 3 feet inset totaly sealed. Ive added another exhaust fan which droped the temp a ton!!!!! I still have 1 open exhaust hole with no fan by it the intake hole is also just open no fans sucking in. Insides I set up my humidifer and an ocolating fan set on high so the occolating fan and the exhaust fan are the only 2 fans running do you suggest more exhaust or intake or??? Anymore Ideas would be greatly appeciated. I was reading the indoor bible thats why I got scared bout my humidity and temp I just dont want my expensive ass plants to die! any more advise would be greatly appeciated im also open to ideas. Im doing 18/6 timing so I think after tonight ill switch to visa versa and let the 6 be time off during the day I agree that would help with heat also stealthyness with my folks heehee. You gotta PM Flopeye..... Thanks guys!!!!!!!! :D
