Got attacked by a borer bug thius last season, took out top of 6 or so colas. Probably not the same reason but the result was as Merln1 said damage to the feeding route. It's got to be local to that part of the plant what ever has caused the damage. If it was sistemic you would expect the whole plant to have suffered.

checked tonight no stem damage

 

but has started to affect whole plant

 

all colas going the same, at different stages of decline

 

suspect  lock out, have flushed bout 12lt tap water through

 

PH 6.4 runoff

 

Hope its not overwater

 

or ive drowned the young las  

 

has been a steady decline over four days..quite quick

 

for now I will leave her alone n let her do her thing n hope for the best

 

has not happened to me before, so am curious to know the cause..... so it doesn't happen again

now that the rest of your plant is starting to show sign of decline-

I'd be looking at fungal/fungus infections, including root rot (only because you mentioned overwatering)

 

I'm not up on all the fungi that attacks canna but the slow (quick) decline is a good (bad) sign that it's fungus of some sorts

Last 24hrs has seen a steep decline

 

Not holding to much hope for this one

 

Have depotted  and washed off all soil, the more I research I do the more im thinking root rot /fungi  but

 

Roots looked nice n white n healthy, no browning,

 

potted up with new canna terra with new pot

 

see wot happens

 

Bit sad as she was my favourite  it all happen so fast!!!

 

To cheer myself up I have cracked half dozon beans of Blueberry

Blueberry !!!! ALLL the way man. I love it. 

 

On your PineC, wish i has seen this early. They dont like LST and are like a PMT girl in flowering reallly sensitive. I have had a mannnnnnny issues with them in flower, and its all down to stress. I still have my PineC but I only ever grow her is winter, and keep my Ec never gets above 17. Also found she hates getting pk13/14. Just hates it, dont know why, I have had blueberry and PineC and the PineC just dropped. In veg you can bash her around like one of rick james hookers. But when its flower time, its like walking on eggs shells.

Not to sure what happened, roots look good, no stem/branch damage

 

Maybe wot chopper said, stress

 

gave away some same beans to mate and grew in doors no trouble at all

 

Im putting it down to "one of those things"
