Repotting

pot size will depend on your room size. obviously the 400 fits in nicely so you have what?, 2x3...maybe 1/2 dozen cheap buckets in there. pures right with what he says in that you need more room for more roots/more plant. under 400w you could even use a fair few 8" pots and turn the light over at 3-1/2 weeks...or use cuttings. no definitive answers mate, tell us the size of your cupboard and you can get a better answer from that.

take it easy...

I normally wait till i get a slight mass of roots (i.e. slightly rootbound)..before transplanting. This makes it easier to transplant without any damage to roots...and also promotes a healthy root system. ;) Just enough so the roots cling together enough to hold the soil together..go too long, and your plant may take a little more time to realise it's free!!!!

heh cool, and i know what you mean by root bound, where the roots hold the soil togteher enough to make transfering easier.

but i got like a 40/60 perlite/soil mix. the perlite is pritty loose in there, might be harder to tell when rootbound.

i can see roots from the holws in the bottom of the pots, and growth has slowed down, so is it safe to say they are rootbound already?
