fluorescent tube

hi,guys where can i get 40w warm white fluorescent tube's from.I need them to add to two cool white tube's.I'm a first time grower and unable to find them ,do you think this will give me the light to grow 6 plants under.This is the first run with my grow closet and it still needs work but when it's finished it will have, by than i hope another four tube's which will make eight four of each.

Hello,Your better off with a 400 watt mh or hps im my opinion,Fluros are good for rooting clones but thats it,Goodluck

If you want to stick with fluorescent lights then use compact fluorescents instead of the standard tubes as they put out far more lumens per watt and are cheaper to run. Check out the grow link in my and some other signatures, if you want to grow plants like that then you will need HID lights, fluorescents don't come close.

I thank everyone for there feedback,but for the moment I'm useing the above flourescent tubes, untill I get this closet sorted out.I've tried looking ,as was suggested but these flour's are hard to find.so thank you all [i think,there for I am."I think. "]

Its been talked about heaps, and I decided to try some 48w Compact fluoros from bunnings.. I have two in my little temporary growroom and they are awesome. They are so bright.. they are about 100x better than the 2' 20w fluoro i started the seedlings under. Edited July 9, 2004 by Nath

Compact fluoros can be found at most large chain hardware shops, they're the "energy saver" bulbs.

 

And yeah, I love em too. The 24w one is sitting in my mother room and they couldn't be happier.
