1 out of 6 plants not budding!

Hey guys i have 1 plant in the flower room that is not budding, its getting a little bit to big for my liking and if it doesn't start budding soon im gonna chop it and throw it in the bin!....

They are all about a week and a half into 12/12, This plant is a "Northern Lights BLUE" strain, Its very stretchy compared to the others, its also very "snappy" as in when i touch a branch it easily "snaps" of instead of bending, i dont know if that means anything? Its also the only plant in the flowering room that is sitting in a TALL 20L bucket with coco/perlite, maybe this is contributing?

When i feed it gets 1 litre more than the rest cause the bucket is so big, it gets the same nutrients as the rest as well. I went back and checked my bonza order and it didnt say if it was feminized or not so im unsure if it is? I cant see any balls on it though?

Heres some pics. as you can see in the photos the other plants next to it are budding already.

Hey Herby,

I notice your fan at the end of your ducting but do you have any fans stirring the air in the room, blowing through the plant canopy?? Those stems seem real thin and as the buds develop and become heavier those stems won't be able to hold the weight upright. Stems are a bit like muscles in that, the more they flex the stronger they become. By having a fan blowing thru the canopy the branches flex and strengthen. You may find that you need to tie each bud site up to hold the bud, which can be a real bitch to manage around but it can be done

Hi mate, the buds are not big enough for that yet, i do have an osculating fan in the room, most of the stems are very thick. I did have to tie the branches of the NL Blue plant up though as even though its not budding, the branches were toppling over.. I dont think ill ever grow this strain again lol

it has started to "bud" you just can't see the changes the plant is going through.

Agree with Naycha, 10 days is not long enough.

Throwing in the Bin? a bit over dramatic don't ya think?

All plants will stretch once you change the lighting to 12/12.

Some plants stretch a few inches some a few feet, some with quadruple in height before being finished.

If the plant is getting too tall, look into LST or low stress training, it is where you train the plant to "stay down".

a few close ups would allow us to (possibly)  ID the gender of the pant

The 3rd photo i put up is a close up, the other ones are starting to bud of nicely already, maybe this one takes longer.

But yeah if it stretches to much its gonna hit the top of the roof, its already at the bottom of the hood, i will see if i can tie it down but as i said before the branches are really snappy i have a feeling it will just snap to pieces when i try lst it, if it does it will have to go in the bin lol

ill get some more pics tonite.

hey guys few more pics, i cant see any male bits but its a straggler for sure, im going to give it another week then im tossing it, i dont want to have 1 plant in the room flowering 2 or 3 weeks laters than the others, its just messy and throws some of my plans out of wack, and its taking up to much room vertically at the moment, i have since tied it down, but i think im just gonna dump it.

Hey Herby, try to relax and give her some time.

I grew this strain in last years diary, and it's worth the grow.  I couldn't be bothered looking back through my diary at the moment, but there's a link in my sig if you want to.

From stoner memory - the stretch on this bitch was a bitch, it was massive.  Probably took at least 2 weeks to start showing flowers.  Budded up into nice big buds, a little bit airy but not bad enough to be an issue.  Many of the buds ended up needing support.  Took longer to flower than specified, but on a par with other strains in my experience.  Don't remember any problem with branches snapping easy, so can't help there.  Seems to have a tendency to be prone to heat stress though, which may be a potential problem at this time of year with flowering.

Overall, turned out to be a great plant and an awesome smoke.  If you really want to throw her out, throw her this way, I'm a sucker for homeless wildlife.  I have never seen anything but feminised seeds being available for this strain either.
