Mini Air-con / Humidifier

I was wondering if anyone else is using one of these or has used one

I will be using it for cooling purposes not humidity I figured that it could help me to regulate the temp of the room and solve posible heating issues I may encounter growing in a cuboard any ways there is a pic of one bellow if your not sure what I'm talking about

hey pure,

 

this air/con cools by running air through a water saturated media. This will increase the humidity in the room. In my option you will have probs with this AC. Get yourself a small refrigerated AC, cools and de-humidifies at the same time.

sounds more expencive what am I looking at price wise for a refrigirated aircon?

 

this came to mind cause I was going through some old stuff and found I already have one of these haven't used it for growing though so thanx for the tip

 

 

forgot to mention that it does have an option to use no water at all just one of the suplied ice packs would that solve the issue

You would probably get a small rise in humidity, because of condensation forming on the ice pack, so you would get a rise in humidity, but not as much as using water.
