30watt Grow Tube.

Hi people's.

Well i got some reasonably good news,the "terrarium" works in propagating seeds !

I used a;

 

NEC

TRI-PHOSPHUR

FL 30SSBR-HG-36

T 8

Biolux HG Lamp

 

I put in 36 seeds and 35 sprouted.(Now i got to find spots for them !)

i just use this system to get them growing and once they are a couple of inches tall transplant. I start them off by soaking in water for a day or two and wait for the tap-root to pop out,then place them into seedling mix. THEN transplant,once they are big enough.

Getting a head start on next years grow.

Hope this is beneficial to other growers.

P.S the only problem i encountered was the proximity too the lights,must be a MAXIMUM of two inches off the light,that was the only draw-back.

I would consider adding a few compact fluoro's as you will need a fair bit more light to keep 35 small plants alive and growing. Keep us posted on how they go.

Have been in touch with the "local" hydro shop and have got an hour and a half drive to look forward to next week !

The light i am using is adequate,but there is a 36watt tube which he suggested would be better for what i am doing,will let you know how things turn out.
