The idea is to stabilise the soil. Not band aid it. Fluctuations up and down over a few days surely is not good for the plant. And that's what you are doing by using vinegar. It's a quick fix but by all means I wouldn't be using it all the time. Like I said earlier decomposing matter is the best long term remedy - for soil based growing. Edited by MrCompletion
