Best time to sow seeds...

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Just out of curiousity...I have some seeds that I wouldnt mind grpwing into some nice juicy nugs, however I'm a little confused as to when to plant them. My instinct tells me at the end of winter, so towards the end of July / August. However alot of my friends keep planting them in June or March...and then letting them grown through Winter. The results they get arent too good to say the least, so I thought I'd come to the professionals B) Just wondering when to plant them...any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Maynard

Hey mate,Depends where you are living/Growing but id take outdoors at the end of August or the start of September or when the frost is gone,Some people like to start off indoors but not a must,Plant in some good potting mix,Dont add nutes until you have plants or until they start growing and dont add to much when you do,Rapid raiser is good as it comes in pellet form ,All you do is water in,Organic aswell which is good,If anything add a hormone/Vitiman called Superthrive or Nutriboost very good products im no expert but hope this helps and has worked for me B)

I live in a similar climate..and unless you start indoor, you'll be looking to start the last half of August..into september.... :D

..I'm starting now (Indoors), as i have to find good Female pheontypes of the strains i want..then clone off my outdoor plants..and get them ready to rock 1st Full-moon of september i hope @ approx 8-10" High :P

..I'ts more work initially..but in the end...it's not really. :P This way...every plant that survives has rewards (in the way of Bud). Every plant Female....and if you get a good pheno...the results from each plant are similar B) :P

Cool  Just don't plant if there is a risk of frosts..that's the general rule. The earliest you can plant without frost damage..the better. I've built mini-greenhouses around them with clear plastic b4, and that has seen them in Mid August. The plastic stayed on until near the end of September...and they were thumpers lol
