They probably get their figures from  the teens who get psychosis cos they started smoking from an early age, same thing happens with alcohol at an early age. People like us never come into the equation because we try to keep a low profile for fear of the bust.

Here's a fun fact alcohol is one of the only drugs that can cause death from going Cold turkey after being addicted.

You have to wonder about bias and predetermined outcomes with studies like these when they come up with bullshit like this that in no way represents the reality for mainstream consumers.  Can't compare to hard drugs myself, but I have given up ciggies, and used to have a drinking problem.  I have had to quit weed more times than I can remember for various reasons, and have to say that for me there has never been the slightest problem with doing so, cannot say that for alcohol or nicotine, ffs I find it harder to abstain from coffee.

 

The comment about teens above is most likely true and relevant, and it is also true that for some people cannabis can cause serious problems
