can I clone from a flowering plant?

Recommended Posts

Due to unforseen circumstances,I had to go away for a while, and when i got back ,all I had left was 2 very crappy females that have been flowing for 3 or 4 weeks under 2 ,18 watt grow luxs , My Bloody flat mates , had to pull down my system and smoked the crop, and started to flower my mothers!!!!!! in my cloning cabinet...really screwed things up !!!......can I take clones off a flowing female? can I put them back on 18 or 24 hours and make them veg again ? as their really small ,sick and thin, hardly and leaves but they are a good strain and I wouldn;t mind a smoke soon, and couldnt be arsed starting from seed again.... I do have a couple of 400 watt hps and a full hydro system to put them in. to try and pick them up..is it worth it????Any help would be much apreciated cheers badblackdog :P :o :P

Yes you can clone a flowering plant and yes you can revert the mum to veg as well if you want, leave some of the small bud sites as that is where the new growth starts from.

my females were in 12/12 for about 2 wks before i remembered i needed afew more clones..oopps...:P

like tom said 24 hours of light for about 2 weeks and alot of misting of water in a veg dome.. making sure you clean the top of the inside of your vegdome everyday and giving them some air afew times aday.. your clones should root... after all they are a weed... its when we baby them they grow like chit and when we don't they grow great...

i have slowy stoped babyn mine i watch for change in the leafs to let me know but iam not down there every hour hoping that would make them grow faster.....i do go in my room everyday to get my digi pic's iam docmenting on one of my plants i have been taking from seed...

i will see myself if after 8 wks in 12/12 can i clone of the female with the branchs on the bottem that have not buded the way the top hafe has...

these are the same females i did get my first clones off after they were in 12/12 for 2 weeks

B) thank you so much guys the info was great ..I;m going to try and clone then..I havn;t changed over to bloom nutes yet!! as I was thinking of trying to revert them to veg 24 hour ... the buds look good :D .. do you think that I;ve done any damage or srewed up my future yeild? should I change over straight away? as I just changed the nutes and thought I might get my 2 weeks worth out of that batch.... what you reckon? cheers badblackdog.......

I havn;t changed over to bloom nutes yet!!

My good mate from my local hydro store advised me to actually leave my girls on the grow nutes for 2 weeks after turning, apparently the extra nitro gives them a boost.

As for screwing up your yeild, MJ is a really hardy plant, you'd be suprised at what you can get away with. Don't tell anyone I said that B) ::D:
