In The Ground or In A Pot?

Recommended Posts

That would totally depend on the soil quality in the area you are going to plant. You will have more control using your own medium in a container, but you will also need to rely on feeding in containers on a regular basis. If you use the natural soil it will contain a lot of nutes as well as benificial fungi's,bacteriums etc.

its up to you realy. in a pot they are mobile and you can move them if the need arises. you will need to water more often and their size will depend on the size of the container. Bunnings haave some 75ltr pots on sale now for ten $

in the ground if you dig a hole, mix the soil with potting mix throw in some water granules and handfull of blood and bone and they will grow a lot better than any thing in a pot

a mate recently tried using pot soxs for outdoors as you can veg them inside in 4-6" pot soxs then go trekin and plant them into 12" pot sox of coco and perlite then dig them into the ground.. the roots grow thru all sides of the bag so it works quite well... other advantage is the bags pack up flat for storage or moving.. Carrying the 50 kilo coco bag is hard enough lol :o

This one is in the ground,it got just bit brown around the edges of the leaves but this has gone away now.Same soil, but no bucket.I have dug big holes and lined the hole with plastic and put in good soil, the plastic had holes puched in the bottom for drainage. This was done in a good clear spot in the woods where nothing else was growing because of the soil(like a rock) But the sunlight was great all thru the day.Just a couple ideas for you to tose around.
