temp issue

Recommended Posts

hey guys, just wondering where you have your temperature meter reading directly under the light the same position as the plants or do you have it say around the middle of your cupboard. reason being that when i have the temp meter directly under the light it reads around 29-30degrees but when i have it in the middle it reads 25-27 degrees which ideal so i was just wondering if i need more outake fans or not. the plants are still fairly small but are growing very well .

thanks.

Plant canopy temp is most important IMHO, although information about the temperature at root level, in the nutrient tank(s) and the ambient atmosphere of the growroom, as well as intakes and outtakes as lucian has said, can be very useful pieces of information.

But yeah, I use a digi therm with a small sensor on a wire, so I can get good readings, highs and lows, of anywhere within the GR.

You don't want the canopy temps to reach above 30 if possible, although they will survive, and even grow at above these temps, it's not the best situation. So keep things between 22 and 28 if possible. lol

Good luck.
