PH levels of water

Anybody here ever tested PH levels of water from tap in melb or a water tank filled with rain water?

You'll need to test for yourself. One persons readings may not have any bearing on the pH of your water supply. My tap water ranges from 5.8 to 7.6 depending on weather conditions and seasonal changes.

thanks, I was just trying to get around buying a ph kit, looks like I'll be buying one to be safe though.

In case others need this info in future; I just found a document which states the average ph of melb rainwater is 5.5, however when using a tank I assume this can be effected by any foreign matter on the roof or in the pipes or water tank and how long the water is stagnant for.

I'll post the results for my tap water with my general location once I get the tester so others can compare if they wish.
