CHIFLEY Local Area Command er Superintendent Martin Wookey said he believes the cannabis seized on Thursday was destined for distribution in the local area., Supt Wookey said the seizure and subsequent arrest was the result of an ongoing operation and that further arrests were likely., "It's certainly an outstanding result, and I believe we have smashed a major drug distribution ring in the Bathurst and Lithgow areas,” he said, adding the investigation was part of an ongoing focus in the Chifley Local Area Command targeting the distribution of illegal drugs in the area.
