these things dont pass aust. standards for a reason, beware buying cheap imported crap from china,

honestly people when it comes to electricity do not skimp on a few dollars where you can, do not make up your own light sockets/leads/timers/anything unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing.

 

US use 120V, we use 240V, anything rated at less than 240V will melt when plugged into an aussie power socket. heat in the cable and lampholder contacts is generated by current, ie. the wattage of your lamps
