Your on the money there, Gavita is definitely the world leader in commercial grow lighting. their stuff is good.

Im glad you have built a good relationship with your local guy, you would be suprised though how much most shops are not all evil. A vast majority of us are gardeners just like you who are also very passionate about all aspects of indoor gardening and the end results of such. We also happen to make our living doing something we love.

But its true we will have certain products we will push more than others, remember we have a huge advantage in that we can try all these products for ourselves heaps easier then the average guy. plus we are getting feedback from our customers as well. but everyone is different  in what they expect and what they like and well opinons are like arseholes......

I think this is what the other guys are talking about   (I could tell you the price of the cheapest E series in this country.) This  sounds too much like someone pushing a shop . I believe that sort of thing is frowned upon in this community. On the other hand talking about products and stuff I would imagine should be and is always welcomed? Correct me if Im wrong. Ive made no secret that I am from a hydro shop but I will never push prices or my shop ( I will never even tell or name the shop) . I just believe this is a great place for sharing knowledge, ideas and healthy debate and of course support. Not a marketing tool.

 

That would of been nice but the OP has already shown he doesn't want to talk about the merits of the light, rather he just wants to make vague claims of yield increase (how original, seriously) and call others "ignorant" for raising valid arguments against these high-end propriety grow lights.

 

For someone who claims he is not associated with Gavita he certainly comes across like a shill.

I for one can't wait for it to become legal in Australia, take advantage of all this available light year round something the makers of these lights don't have in there countries. I'm following advances in greenhouse technology

This was a good thread... except for the bickering. Seriously not needed guys.

 

I am in the market for a new lighting setup atm for a 1.45 x 1.45. Snippets of this thread were useful though still not totally sure what to roll with.
