Court admonishes ‘anxious’ man for drug, scales

Recommended Posts

instead of these fucked up judges threating defendants with jail etc, maybe just maybe if they tried to really help them then there would be a better outcome.

See we're ur coming from brick, but people have to want help, don't use the go rehab or jail scenario. Similar to what WA police were doing if you were caught with personal amount of dope for first offence either go to a programme similar to AA but not really lol or get a criminal conviction. every one caught took the programme (was only couple sessions.) easy. When doing this you admitted addiction that then gets recorded for data then all of a sudden we have a shit load of pot head addicts in the country according to the media. This then creates a new topic to confuse the sheeple lol

When people seek rehab type programs at the same time as an impending court date you have to take it with a grain of salt and see it as an attempt to mitigate the level of shit they're in, problem is that magistrates then give favourable treatment.  Even legal aid solicitors tell you to do it, mine did and I refused on the basis that I knew it would have been a sham and I knew I can abstain without it, and felt these limited resources should be left for those that do want and need them.  I then quit in the interim, and stated I had done so without help and was prepared to submit to tests, but somehow in the magistrates eyes that didn't count for shit, whereas if I had done the program with no intention of success it would have worked, go figure?  That must be why a multiple offence meth dealer gets off lighter than a personal medicinal grower with 25+ years of clean record.  Which one of us is more likely to go back into the community and cause harm to innocent people???

I do think that any junkie that genuinely wants help to quit should be given all the help possible, but aside from that I have no sympathy for them.  Billygoat might be on to something though, a 6 month holiday in a drug free environment with some sort of life training etc probably wouldn't do em any harm, except they'd probably start rounding up all us potheads to make good statistics.
