Expensive seeds

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question (for now), am I crazy to be looking at picking up some $30+ seeds (each)? Marketing hyperbole etc aside, I've come across what sound to be really good seeds, just what I'm after and all that, but are they really going to be worth the extra coin over say seeds that are around the $10 mark?  Somehow I can't post the link, but they are Sensi Seeds Northern lights #5 x Haze from Bonza, price is around $34.

First question has been asked, but I also guess price per seed is only part of the equation, when you take into account soil, nutrients etc needed over the course of the lifecycle of the plant that extra $20 is minute, and if this strain yields only 3 grams more for me than one at $10 a seed I'm technically ahead on a dollar basis taking into account current street prices.  Has anyone tried this strain, was it worth the extra money, or are there better alternatives around?  I'm growing outdoors if that helps, and ideally want something that is going to be easy to clone too, but again, outdoors.

On that note, I have asked before, but never had anyone reply who was actively doing it, how hard is cloning for outdoor grows?  I've only got two pretty average seasons behind me thus far (although what yields I got were bloody brilliant smoke, even guys who have been heavy users for 30 years saying its pretty much the best they ever smoked, presuming because I got proper seeds not the typical bag seed grows most people are used to), I did try to do some cloning and it didn't work at all, but then I haven't had much success over the years when trying to take cutting from anything.  I used to grow roses quite well, but when others were getting 90% success with cuttings taking I was getting maybe 10%.  Admittedly I was barely a teenager back then so technique may have been lacking!

Ideally I don't want to be going through the hassles of setting up something indoors just for a mother plant and clones, but just taking some cuttings from the plants I have in the ground.  Trying to figure out my outdoor grow now rather than leaving it to the last minute! Cheers!

I would definitely be using a fake name and address if buying from Southern Star... I mean, how hard is it for the piggies to get a warrant and seize business documents? AFP did it one of the telly stations after the shapelle corby interview shit.

Re NL#5 X Haze... great strain, but I would suggest (as politely as I possibly can) that you leave the top shelf alone until you have a bit more grow experience.

I'd hate to see them wither and die from inexperience.
