Just wanting to get ppls opinions who are experienced with the quantum 600 watt didgi ballasts , are they as good as they say they are , and comparrison to the old school ballasts , cheers boys

digital ballasts are a huge improvement over Magnetic ballasts, purely in they are more  efficient with output to the lamps ( its not a huge amount but it adds up over many ballasts). they will still use 600 watts, just a better percentage on out put from ballast to lamp, and they dont draw huge amps on startup. Cant give an opinion on Quantum brand, I can only say that Growlush and Sunnytek are two brands I know to avoid. Plus if you bally has super lumans you can push it harder. Once you go digi you wont go back
