Coco nutes noob question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I've a couple of days into germinating my seeds and im getting everything ready for my grow. I about to start buying nutes but I've come across a bit of a noob question. Im using a coco-perlite mix as my medium and was thinking of using AN sensi grow + bloom and a couple of other things but I just noticed they sell coco specific nutes. Can I use sensi nutes with a coco grow or should I be using a coco nute?

(told you it was a noob question  :x)

Thanks guys

You can also go Nutrifield coco A + B, i've used canna a and b and no comparison really except that NF is less expensive.

Gogo and seasol...for roots I'm using Proganics root care from bunnings too.  Hope this assists.

Peace and all good things for your grow.

The reason for coco specific nutrients is because coco requires a different level of certain nutrients like phosphorus, calcium and magnesium that aren't found in other hydroponic nutrients.  In short that means you can grow using non-coco specific nutrients but the plants will never be able to get everything they need short of you going out and buying supplements and adding them manually to your nutrient solution.

K-9 I figured thats why they made coco nutes but wasnt sure if it was just a gimmick or not.

Faith, I think I'm following your idea as I just realised Im using nutrifield coco+perlite blend. Did you need to run any trace element nutes along with the a+b?

Hiya ganja,

The a and b have the trace elements needed for growing in coco as far as I know, as K9 mentioned.  I think all the a and b coco nutrients would be suitable.   I've used canna and nutrifield and the canna worked well but  the NF won out because I am pretty sure it is an Aussie owned and made...and if I remember correctly It worked out half price but I got a 5l set to my door for less than $100 - same performance.

I think canna  a and b was around $60 for the litre set.

You can get NF a and b in 1L bottles as well but I'm unsure of the price, and 1L pair should easily get you through one grow maybe two.  also i really like Canna's rhizotonic and cannazyme but am instead using myco like Lenny and seasol liquid seamungus like fiwh lol

vvvvvvv

Hey faith if you kike gogo try the liquid seamungus by neutrog. I think its better than seasol

I'm onto it fiwh lol  I think I gotta go to bunters though that's where all the Neutrog stuff is stocked here.  Have you had a look at their rose nutes?  :peace:

Peace and good growing to you ganja oh and don't OD the babies (seedlings) with the nutrients! (or drown them  )
