It would be cruel to deny the dying cannabis? Well no shit sherlock.  But what about those who want to live?  Children with epilepsy, soldiers with PTSD, grandmothers with cancer, etc. could all massively benefit from cannabis and in the case of the child could live over 100 years from the date of the first treatment so would it be fair to deny them cannabis?  What about the soldier who's medical condition couldn't be considered an immediate physical threat to their existence and cannabis merely a massively useful but not a fundamentally required tool to treat them?  Would it be cruel to deny them?  I'm all for the dying to go out in the manner they want but you have to be a special kind of stupid to put those at the end of their lives ahead of those trying to live theirs especially if you're a politician trying to get votes in the long term
