Cannabis psychosis revealed!

Recommended Posts

That seems to be the case with a mates brother only 22, smokes big amounts of cannabis. But have noticed some sort of paranoia thoughts, even mumbling words under his breath that seems crazy at times. This only happens when he drinks, can notice a big change in his attitude which goes from calm to everyone around him is stealing his weed/smokes or drinks. Also bring up future problems and stew on them.

Try to talk to him is impossible.

unfortunately my brother suffers from psychosis. he has all the symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia with audible hallucinations etc however shizophrenia drugs have no effect and offer him no relief. it is a truly bad situation. the poor guy suffers more than you could imagine and i wouldnt wish that on anyone. im not saying that it was or wasnt caused by weed because there were certainly a lot of drugs being used in his formative years and it could have been any combination of things that sent him over the deep end.

however i can understand why people might think that marijuana can bring on these sorts of things, for starters indicas scare the shit out of me, when i smoke indicas i go to a place i dont like, i sit down on the lounge and i think, i converse with myself and that scares me because i have seen the way my brother is, i often wonder if thats what happened to my brother you know he sat down one day and he started listening to that little voice we all have in our head sometimes that helps us work through problems etc only he never stopped listenening?

believe me im not saying that marijuana caused his problems if i truly believed that i wouldnt smoke it but i have to say i do steer clear of indicas just as a cautionary thing and i know if you even bring up marijuana in his presence it sets him off, he went from someone who loved to smoke every chance he could to someone who wont touch it and would call the cops if he knew i was growing it. i can tell you it may not have caused it but smoking it seems to take him even further down the rabbit hole and as far as i can tell its not a very nice place to go.

i would love to see more research into this area and would love to see my brother get some help. unfortunately the state of the mental health services in this country are terrible and it is virtually impossible to find any relief for my brother or my poor mother who is his sole carer which is a full time job however she gets no support from the government whatsoever.
