Scale Aphids.

Recommended Posts

After harvest I spotted these buggers all over the stems, I already suspected I had them as I'd spotted the ants that farm them earlier in the grow.

Every grow I've ever done outdoors has suffered from Scale Aphids and now they're a hassle for my indoor grow.

As far as I'm aware these are very difficult to remove, Ive been through the previous threads and found a few answers and was wondering if anyone had a definitive way of removing these buggers.

Thanks in advance.

Hey jimmy,

Firstly i hear you noticed ants, we wanna get rid of them, of at least prevent ants from the next grow as they spread the shit out of insects! I've used 50% borax/ 50% sugar as a trap to kill em off in my greenhouse.

As for the insects looks like scale not aphids, they can just be rubbed off the plant, get a toothbrush out and knock em off no need for spraying.

After harvest if in the ground you will have to saturate the soil with eco neem or similar. I read that scale can live in the ground until the next plant is grown. Then they will take over the plant and they suck all the good shit out of the trunk and branches. Ants get attracted to what the scale leave behind, honey dew, which can fuck a plant badly, can get what looks like spider mite webbing but it is not mites. Borax is good!

I thought the scale was the aphid?
