Yield question?

Recommended Posts

To many variables to guess.

What is considered small ?

What type of hydro ?

What type of light and how many watts ?

2 plants could yeild you 2 oz or 1 pound depending on the above and how good of a gardener you are.

Depends if you want the fastest turn around you could veg for 2 weeks and flower for 8 weeks but I would recommend at least 4 weeks veg.

Btw having a picture of yourself as an avatar on this kinda site is a little silly. :P

Noob questions are fine IMO. We all had to start somewhere and its better to ask questions and learn than to jump in and cock it up.
Minzone is very correct.
Your question is a bit like '...how long is a piece of string..." so many variables
Your first job is to find a space. This may sound a bit silly but if you buy a tent or build a room like I did, you need a space.
That space needs to have access to certain things. Electricity, ventilation and security.
If you decide to go the tent route you'll need the dimensions of the tent to find an appropriate sized space, or build a room to suit the space you want to use.
The dimensions of the tent/growspace are going to determine a few things like how many lights, what sort of fans you'll be needing.
Many noobs have the idea ...'more plants equals more weed' this is very wrong. The more space, the more growth, the more bud sites is a truer statement (if managed properly)
Personally I grow 1 plant in a recirc system, in perlite in a 3x3x3m room and last grow I got 2lb. Now Ive been growing for a while and have refined my system and practises to meet my needs, this has taken time to refine but here are some pics https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners.com/gallery/image/10062-6/

You also need to think about feeding and how you're going to manage that, again there are many choices. Run to waste or recirc, fully automatic or hand feeding. There is the question of what growing medium you want to use be that soil, coco coir, perlite, clayballs or a mixture. These are all choices that you need to be making.

My best advice would be to start in Cannaversity. There is a tab at the top of this page. There is heaps of information there and it gives you a bit of an overview of differing methods
Start to make a plan, if you've got questions, then please, ask away. There are many of us here who will share info we have learnt. But a bit of advice, start small and LEARN, then build up. I have known of a few who went out and spent $$$$ only to cock it up and give up.

Good luck with the plans and let us know how you get on and as I say if you've got questions, then ask

(EDIT: I'd have to agree with Minzone about your avatar/photo)

How long is a piece of string.... :twiddle:

There really are just too many variables to say. You could pull a few ounces off a plant, you might only get a quarter....

The boyfriend just pulled 4 Skunk #1's, they didn't veg for as long as we wanted and they were taken about a week early imho, and we got about 2.5 oz total.

He's also fairly new to growing too.

Good luck!
