Apologies I didn't take a pic of the entire plant but you get the idea, the more normal looking buds are from a different strain, a 'Lavender' (Soma.)

I can't see many nanas, none actually, but the things are tiny and they could be hiding. I only order one feminised seed of the NYC, I'm thinking I might have lucked out with a natural hermie or a plant with strong hermie tendencies, as she hasn't been stressed aside from being FIM'd and having a few large fan leaves cut back in order to control height. I've only found one banana but the look of the plant has me confused, either way these kind of flowers make for terrible smoke due to all the fucking stem you have to cut away to get a decent bowl of fluffy bud.

I'm inclined to just give her a quick 2-3 day flush and turn her into hash. *shrug*

If you are going to turn the plant into hash... I'd still leave it to mature.

Bananas aren't full on staminate flowers, they are single anthers only, which have very little capacity to produce pollen. If it were popping out bunches of petalled flowers... that would be a different situation and pollination would be a real crop risk.

But, of course, it is your plant and you can do anything you wish with it.  Not sure how having to take the bud off the stems makes it a shit smoke... it's a sativa dom and probably needs longer to finish than you had planned.

I did slice off one emerging parrot beak the other day, aside from that and the 1-2 bananas all seems normal.

Those pics might be giving an impression density that just isn't there, these are very stringy buds, not fun to work with at all. BTW this strain does live up to it's rep in terms of smell, which is difficult to describe.

If you are used to growing indica doms... then no, the density you are looking for after this length of flowering wont be there, but given another 4 weeks or so you could be looking at a very different picture.

Have you grown any sativa dominant strains before?

Pegz, I'm not trying to tell you what to do, just mentioning some possiblities. As I said earlier, it's your plant and your choice on how to proceed... personally, I think the plant will improve with more flowering time because that is my experience with sativa dominant strains.

I have had phenos of a cple of different strains punch out stringy foxtail looking buds that are elongated from the main bud. They just continue to grow longer and not fill out too much, though I could be wrong never growing this strain.

I'm with Lou I would leave them for a couple of weeks still.
